Goddess Saraswati is the god of wealth and knowledge. She blesses her devotees with immense knowledge and wealth. She helps them get away from darkness and find the light in the arms of intellect. Therefore, having a saraswati murti in one’s house and worshipping her is very auspicious. However, there are a few items that one can keep along to please her and welcome her presence in their households. They are as follows:

Veena:

Goddess Saraswati is also the goddess of music and is often seen with a Veena, which is very close to her. Keeping a Veena helps maintain peace in a household as Goddess Saraswati leads our intellect towards the right path. It also increases creativity among children,

Swan:

Every god and goddess have their own mount. A mount depicts the traits that the said God or Goddess posses. The swan is the mount of Goddess Saraswati. It symbolizes peace and positivity. Therefore, keeping a picture or a sculpture of a Swan is also considered auspicious and helps children improve their concentration which helps them to improve their performance in studies and creative endeavours alaike. It is powerful in acquiring peace and knowledge as well.

Peacock feathers:

The feature of a peacock is auspicious not only in relation to Goddess Saraswati but even with the likes of Lord Krishna and Kartikeya. Students are encouraged to keep one among their books to enhance their knowledge and increase their capacity to learn. As the peacock is considered to be very pure at heart, it also helps in keeping negativity away and increase concentration.

Lotus Flower:

The Lotus flower is associated with both Goddess Saraswati as well as Goddess Lakshmi. It is the symbol of peace and knowledge and signifies the importance of the knowledge of self and provides guidance.
